After having created and operated successful schools in Barbados, Canada, and Africa, we realized after our feasibility studies that Dominica can also benefit from this great opportunity of our success-oriented programs.
Come in or call us to learn more about our educational approach to learning quickly and efficiently.
Our Story
Our Story
Clara Montessori is dedicated to the memory of Mrs. Clara Ryan George and Mr. Emile Lantan George, For the many children, grand-children & great-grand-children they nurtured during their lifetime with the help of close friends and family.
Although these parents were not highly educated, they managed through love to propel the advancement of all those who were part of their lives. Such people who benefited and blessed Clara and Emile were these families; Benjamin, Blanc, Celaire, Celestine, Degallerie, Delsol, Drigo, Elwin, Etienne, Felix, George, Globensky, Gregoire, Hazel, Hilaire, Jean-Baptiste, John, Joseph, John-Baptiste, Labad, Lantan (derived from Nantan), Leblanc, Marc, Philogene, Prosper, Ryan, Thomas, Vyron, Winston and many more too numerous to mention but loved all the same.
Our first school, named Sunrise Prep Institute, which still exists in Barbados was created in 1981. The second school, Jardin Du Soleil Levant came into existence in 1995 in Canada, it was co-founded by the town of Dollard-Des-Ormeaux. The 3rd school was created on behalf of a religious organization in Bayelsa State, Nigeria.
Through these experiences and successes, we have been able to propel children to become doctors, such as Dr. Suckoo & Dr. Lewis. Lawyers, such as Ms. Lynton & Ms.Robbins. Teachers, such as Ms. Duncan. Bankers, such as Mr. Blackman & Mr. Blackette. Self-Made Business Owners, such as Ms. Gregoire & Ms. Jones. Cruise Ship Co-Captain, such as Ms. Gregoire and many other professions which we will name as time goes by. Many past students are still experiencing ongoing studies.

Clara's Love for Children
Clara's Love for Children
Clara with her grand-daughter several months before she passed. That day although she wasn't feeling well, she insisted on taking a walk outside to spend time with Fannie.
That memory of the time spent will be recorded in our hearts forever. School is not only teaching subjects but loving the child enough to encourage him to learn whatever he desires.
